Who is art therapy for?
Art therapists work with individuals of all ages, from children and young people to adults and the elderly. They support a wide range of connections, whether it's one-on-one, in groups, with couples, or even with family dynamics like parent-child relationships.
Clients might experience a variety of challenges, disabilities, or diagnoses.
This can include emotional, behavioural, or mental health concerns, as well as learning or physical disabilities. Additionally, they could be facing issues related to identity, life-limiting conditions, neurological conditions, and physical illnesses.
What does "HCPC registered" mean?
To practice as an art therapist in the UK, it is a legal requirement to complete a Masters level training course approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). The HCPC maintains the public register of qualified art therapists / art psychotherapists. It means that I am required by law to meet certain requirements to practice art therapy.
Regardless of whether you choose to work wth me, you should always check that the healthcare professional has the appropriate qualifications to work with you.
